5 day Chefchaouen Tour to Marrakech and Desert

Day 1: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Fes city excursion

Explore Morocco in guided private tour from Chefchaouen. We will meet you at your hotel and we drive through the Rif mountains. We will continue our tour in the direction of Volubilis to enjoy the Roman ruins which extend over a vast area and offer beautiful views over the valley and the hills. After visiting the ruins, we will drive to Meknes where we will have lunch and walk to discover the historical monsters and see the large walls surrounding the tomb of Moulay Ismail. Enjoy a guided tour of Fes, the oldest of the four “imperial cities” of Morocco. During your visit to this part of the city you can visit the Medina and the Kairaouine Mosque, and the Moroccan Museum of Arts. The night is spent in the riad.

Day 2: Fes - Ifrane - Erfoud - Merzouga

We will pick you up from your riad , then drive south to Ifrane and Azrou through the Middle Atlas mountains. On the way, we will stop at the cedar forests to see the Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat. Traveling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, you’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau and the scenery changing to reveal hints of the Desert as you approach the city of Errachidia. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud and Merzouga. Overnight in riad with dinner.

Day 3: Excursion in Merzouga Desert plus camel ride.

Explore Desert area, visit Gnawa musicians and Berbers in Sahara. Then we take a camel ride to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, which are the highest sand dunes in North Africa. The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min from to the camp, where we will set up in the Berbers tents for our night in the Desert. The tents are well equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner, we will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the stars.

Day 4: Merzouga - Todgha Gorge - Dades Valley

Our adventure today starts by an early camel trek in the sunrise time to admire the beautiful Sahara sands, after that, we will pass by Rissani to discover the hidden beauty of the Moroccan Sahara and take pictures od the magical surrounding sights. We will pursue our Casablanca Desert tour to Tinghir for a lunch pause for a tybpical Sahara Tajine. Our trip for the will end at Boulmane Dades where we will spend the night in a lovely local riad with dinner.

Day 5: Dades - Skoura - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech

We will wake up early in the morning passing through El Kelaa Magona" Valley of the Roses", as we cross The Road of a thousand Kasbahs, we will lose our sense in this romantic city all covered with pink roses. We will also have a break in Ouarzazate( Hollywood of Morocco) to see that magnificent film studio with the surviving old buildings. We will have our local Sahara lunch in The Kasbah of Ait Benhadou; to visit the international marvellous Film Studio, in which many global movies were produced, as Gladiator, Lawrance of Arabia ,and The N°1 World Series "Game Of Thrones". We will keep passing through "The Tizi n'Tichka" where the road winds and turns up along the Atlas Mountains to finally get to the city of Marrakech.
